 1 - Who can join the program?

All J&J employees employees can join. We will form multidisciplinary teams, integrating professionals with experience in different areas. We will select up to 30 employees and match the skills, experience and motivation of each employee with the needs of each organization.

 

2 - When is the application deadline?

3 - Will I receive an email confirming my participation?

Yes! You will receive an email confirming your participation.

 

4 - When will be the Marathon?

The Marathon will start in XXX and will last 7 weeks.

 

5 - And where will it take place?

It will be online! We are going to use online tools, such as Microsoft Teams.

 

6 - Is it for free? 

Yes. It is a pro-bono initiative (free of charge and voluntary).

 

7 - Which social organization will be my client?

You’ll know the NGO at the integration stage of the program, on the week of XXX.

 

8 - What are the criteria for an organization to be my team`s client?

Each organization has a specific challenge to be solved. Therefore, the match between client and team will be in accordance with the challenge and professional skills of the volunteers.

 

9 - I have signed up to participate in the Marathon, but something came up and I won’t be able to attend anymore. What do I have to do?

10 - What is the benefit of participating in the Marathon?

At the Social Acceleration Marathon employees will use their professional skills to help solve a challenge a social organization is facing. Employees will work as volunteers and will have the opportunity to develop skills such as team and collaborative work, getting to know NGOs and working with real business cases that impact many lives.

 

11 - What if the team doesn’t understand the NGO challenge?

Don’t worry! Social Lens  will be with you and will provide support to all teams. Social Lens has social innovation methodologies to help each professional to apply their knowledge in the challenges presented by the organizations. Each team will be guided by a Social Lens consultant, who will be present at all meetings and will be able to answer your questions at any time. In addition, specific material will be provided and volunteers will have the opportunity to interview the NGO managers during the program.
